We will once again be sending a sponsored team to attend the NSW Youth Dressage Championships at SIEC on 5-7th July 2024. Entries are now open on Nominate.
We will be selecting 4 riders to represent the club and they must be current members.
If you would like to be considered, please email your interest along with your 3 best qualifying scores to our Young Rider coordinator Leah Macklinshaw at leahmack1009@gmail.com by Friday 31st May. We look forward to selecting and announcing our team for 2024. If you have any questions please contact Leah directly.
New 2024 National Dressage Rules (effective 1/1/24). Amendments to both EA and FEI rules are found on the EA website. Most important change to the national rules is the way you now gear check which will avoid elimination.

Australian Youth Dressage Championships - our 2023 team

These were conducted at Sydney International Equestrian Centre from the 7th - 9th July. Classes run from Preliminary to FEI level and include freestyle tests as well.

The following combinations represented the club.

There are three shining stars:

Paris Kellner has qualified three horses two at Preliminary and one at Medium level with scores from 63% -74.6%. This will be Paris’s last year as a young rider.
Matia Hopwood with her mount has scores between 73.9% at Novice level & 66% at Elementary.
Katelyn Smith has a young horse and has achieved between 68% -70.4% at Preliminary level.

There are three rising stars:

We had a very hard decision with three riders with almost identical scores.

Makyah Darby has qualified two horses with scores from Novice to Medium between 62.3%-64.2%
Lucy Robinson- Hooke is showing one horse which achieved scores between 65.78% -66.7% at Preliminary & Novice Level.
Katie Ferguson has two horses qualified, Novice scores of 64.2% with Horse 1 & Horse 2 at Medium/Advanced level 60.4%-62.3%.
